Established in 1973, Mount Kilimanjaro National Park covers an area of 75, 575 ha and is the most exciting and thrilling part of Tanzania Safari Tours. It also protects the ecosystem of largest free the standing mountain which is called the ‘roof of Africa’.
Following a 2005 extension, this National Park now includes the whole of the mountain above the tree line as well as the natural forest (montane forest) which was under Kilimanjaro Forest Reserve. While visiting the Tanzania Destinations you can spot the most distinguished wildlife which is warthogs, hippos, impalas, dik diks, zebras, elephants, buffalos and giraffes as well as less common elands and gazelles.
